As far as life goes, people must understand one thing: Man has need only for companionship of oneself, but hungers for the companionship of others anyway.  And so I am here.

My name is Ali and I am a renaissance woman of sorts.  As an artist, musician, writer, student, and philosopher, I am always doing different things and am constantly on the go.

I am looking for good people to become fast friends with.  I am looking for partners to go swing dancing with, people to go rock climbing with, and most importantly, people to do yoga and practice Buddhism with.  As a secondary  note, I know a lot about the writer, Hunter S. Thompson, and I'd be interested in talking to other people about his work.  As always, I am also looking for someone…That special someone I suppose.  Somtimes I doubt that I can find him in this area of Texas, but am hoping to be proven wrong before I just up and move to Austin!

Currently I am awaiting the last semester before I can obtain my associates degree and then plan to begin studying English at UT (either in Arlington or Austin, depending on wether or not there's something keeping me here by the time I must decide) and then going on to get a master's so that I can be a professor.  That is, if I don't change my mind and go back to philosophy instead…The trouble with doing a lot of different things is choosing which one you want to major in.  I also work at a children's photography studio as a photographer.  I have worked with children since I was old enough to work, and have been doing children's photography on and off for 2 years now with some press photography on the side. 

I am also a vegetarian of 8 years, a liberal of 10 years, and just became a member of DFW NORML.  I am also a proud member of NAMI, however, I am a proponent of psychiatry.  That gives you somewhat of an idea on where I stand. :-)
